Smoothies eh? I’ll be honest and say I like a few smoothies, not the ones with lemongrass, buckwheat et al, I go for the everyday fruit smoothies with a bit of natural yoghurt and this is my absolute fave which I have most days – mainly because about a minute to prepare.
- 1 banana
- 8 strawberries
- 1/3 cup natural yoghurt
- 8 ice cubes
Method of Preparation:
- Starting with the ice cubes, place all ingredients in a blender / smoothie maker and mix until smooth.
- Pour and drink (and clean the smoothie maker)
I’ve seen a number of recipes that say to put in sweetener or sugar but I honestly don’t see the point, if the strawberries are ripe they’ll be plenty sweet enough.
I know it’s a lot easier to open your favourite bottle of pop and pour it straight down your throat but if you think about what you’re ingesting, well, I’ll leave that thought with you…
