Red Hot Juice

One of the people who inspired me to start trying a lot of juices is a chap called Joe Cross, who does a programme called Reboot with Joe. He’s been on television showing what his programme is capable of and it’s quite amazing really, I recommend taking a look.

One of the juices he gives a recipe for on his website is this Red Hot Juice. I was looking for something that was predominantly veg based (I know tomato is a fruit by the way) and I’m a big fan of a Bloody Mary so this one looked quite appealing.

Ingredients:

  • 4 Tomatoes
  • 1 Red Pepper
  • 1 Carrot
  • 2 Sticks of Celery
  • 1 Red Chilli

Would it be wrong to add vodka?

Would it be wrong to add vodka?

The result is a fair approximation to a Bloody Mary as it’s got the main tomato flavour and the celery provides a great peppery note while the chilli gives you that spice and there’s sweetness from the carrot. It’s actually a very lovely juice.
